When we set out to design the quintessential northern European house number sign, we knew we had to be rigorous. So, we took to the streets of Copenhagen. Block by block, we meticulously measured porcelain enamelled house numbers from the 19th century to get the proper dimensions, typography, trim, and colour. The result? Our hand-stencilled Aalholm Metropolitan house number.
